‘Mister C’
Written by Me (12.12.12)
I knew you were there
down the coast, I felt unwell.
The girls had to wait,
excitedly, we wanted to tell.
After losing three before
it was hard to believe, not wanting
to sadly lose any special more.
The girls with school and activities
days were busy and long.
My ever-growing belly assured me,
your hear beat was like a song.
Many images of you we did see,
to satisfy Daddy and to reassure me.
Contractions down the coast,
we did have a bit of a scare.
Straight home Daddy drove,
bags packed, he really did so care.
Finally finishing that Uni assignment
thankfully it was all done,
Two days later you really did come!
The pain was unimaginable, finally you turned,
At last seeing your sweet face, a red head we learned.
Wonderful cuddles with Daddy and the girls,
my tender broken heart, now nearly whole in me.
You are so very loved, thank-you Mr C…
‘Lego’
Written by Mister C 23.08.21…
(Five senses poem year three for school)
Lego looks like coloured ice cubes with holes in them.
Lego makes me feel calm inside, as I make my creations.
Lego smells like old plastic.
When I touch Lego, the pieces feel hard like rocks- but also very familiar.
When I dig into my Lego box, it sounds like loud music notes from a funny tune.
Lego is like playing with building blocks in my mind…
